Island

performance with Justyna Górowska, International Festival of Performance Art, Piotrków Trybunalski, PL, 2011

The performance is a visualisation of a physical state of mind, the result of individual feelings and experiences. Two bodies, mine and my friend’s, mark an autonomous area that allows us to gain distance and look for a short moment from the inside. The observation enables us to come to a conclusion: an unknown beginning and ending, the intensified speed of movement, the fluency and uncertainty of the steps made. Finally, the straitjacket breaks unexpectedly.
